What are the Best UK Animation Studios in 2025?

Of course it’s impossible to rank animation studios in this fashion - many of these studios do very different things. But we’re not going to let that stop us so here goes.

Here’s our guide to the best UK animation studios of 2025:

1. Hocus Pocus Studio

Hocus Pocus is not a typical animation studio in that they work in IP / long form as well as commercial / short form / B2B animation. Their colourful, personality driven storytelling works across a spread of genres and sectors: finance, pharma, kids, gaming and nonprofit.

Hocus Pocus is one of the fastest growing animation studios in the UK, and were the only pure animation studio to receive a nomination in the 2025 BAFTA Television awards for their show for Sky Kids Ready Eddie GO!

2. Aardman Animations

Pride of Britain, Aardman is famed worldwide for their iconic stop-motion characters like Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, loved by audiences of all ages. Blue Zoo makes some great shows and has a high quality output for Kids TV. Numberblocks, Supertato, Pip & Posy are a few of the super successful series they have developed / produced. Certified B corp too!
