Animation Studios

Animation studios in London are some of the best in the world, and we consider it a real privilege to work alongside, pitch against and collaborate with inspirational teams and artists.  As an independent animation studio, we have the freedom to work on the projects we love.  We only take on projects that excite us.

Why Hocus Pocus Studio?

‘Hocus Pocus’ is the title of another Kurt Vonnegut novel, a writer we’ve loved from the ‘Breakfast of Champions’ days (we’re the team that founded and operated bofc for many years). Nothing whatsoever to do with the spooky witch film, but everything to do with the magic and flair we want in our work.

There’s a core creative team – James, Justin, T, Rob, Katy, Melinda – making sure everything we produce has the consistent Hocus Pocus sparkle.  Miles our PM keeps the animation studio on time and budget. Like most animation studios,  we’ll work with specialist artists at different stages of each project.

We’re working on our own IP project for Sky Kids right now, an animated series for Kids 3+ that we’re excited to be able to share later in 2023.  It’s a big undertaking so there are around 40 super talented people working on it.

We’re based in Archer Street in Soho, which we think is about perfect.  Soho’s so full of life, so despite the burgeoning waistlines from the amazing food on our doorstep, we can’t imagine working anywhere else.
